Unlike as shown on the flag, the coat of arms as such (image) seems to be white, not yellow: "Argent a label gules throughout and offset to the chief and in chief two ornaments and overall an "O" argent fimbriated sable charged with a quill and inkcup sable".

KF Skënderbeu Korçë was founded in 1929, succeeding the early Vllazëria founded on 15 April 1909. The club won the Albanian League in 1933, 2011 and 2012. In 2011, the club lost in the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA champions' League against APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus) (home: 0-2; away: 0-4).

The club's supporters use different red and white flags, which can be seen on a few photos available on the Internet:
- a square flag, quartered red-white (photo, 13 May 2012);
- a rectangular flag, checkered 2 x 3 red-white (photo);
- a rectangular flag, horizontally divided red-white (photo);
- a rectangular flag, vertically divided red-white (photo).
