On 28 August 2007, "Diario El Sol" reported on the flag exhibition held
in the town of Berazategui, part of the Autonomous Municipality of
Buenos Aires. The exhibition, already seen by 7 millions of visitors in
different places of the country, shows some 190 flag and coat of arms
related to Argentina.
The report mentions that the flag of Berazategui, designed by the
students of the Middle School #4 in a contest involving all the schools
of Berazategui, will be added to the exhibition.

The flag of Berazategui was selected in a contest organized in 2001 by the municipal administration for secondary schools. The proposals (one by school) were exhibited in the Berazategui Social Club for direct
vote by the community.
The winning design was proposed by Patricia Chaparro, Virginia Guzmán and Vanesa Ledesma, from Secondary School No. 4.
The orange background, representing the municipality of Berazategui, is charged with a wavy national flag. The rising sun placed in the lower left part protects a white dove, a symbol of peace and liberty. The sun is bordered by a laurel wreath with 13 pairs of leaves, recalling the national coat of arms.
