This is the official pattern: I dont know
if de facto is used with darker blue shade. The letters in the below
part are different in each destination. Ratio 13:20.

Navy flag on land: is the national one with
sun in Ratio 9:14
Jaume Ollé, 30 Jul 2000
This flag is that of the Batallón de Infantería de Marina No. 3 (Infantry Battalion
Number 3) of the A.R.A. (Armada República Argentina, Argentine Republic Navy in English).
Esteban Rivera, 02 oct 2011
Argentine Jack: the width of the border is 1/5 of the total length (not
height). Dimensions are 1 and 1.14, according to the (argentine) Institute
of Naval Studies.
Gustavo Tracchia, 15 Feb 2000
The argentine jack is a white square panel with
a light blue border. Centered upon the white panel
is the Sun of May with
32 straight and wavy rays alternating, in gold.
Paige Herring and Jarig Bakker,

Pedersen [ped71]
lists the Argentine jack as 50:57, not quite square.
Michael Smuda, 11 Jan 1999
The use of this flag as the flag of admirals
not in command is mentioned in Album 2000
(as well as in 1995 issue).
Željko Heimer, 03 Feb 2001
The above is the official pattern,
this is as it’s really used.
Jaume Ollé, 30 Jul 2000
Blue-white-blue triangular pennant. The tri-coloured stripes are
decreasing in width as reaching the fly end (so that in any vertical
cut the relative width of the three stripes is equal). The pennant
ratio as drawn in Album 2000 is 1:15
(but it is not written). This pennnat is surely in use for quite a
while and probably mentioned already in
[geo17] at least.
Željko Heimer, 03 Feb 2001
The above is the official pattern,
this is as it’s really used.
Jaume Ollé, 30 Jul 2000
Apparently, it seems that the flag is abandoened
alltogether, as there is no mention of such in
Album 2000 [pay00].
Željko Heimer, 03 Feb 2001
Apparently at some later point the previous flag’s
colours were reversed. The Album recapitulative issue of 1995
[pie95] shows the flag as light blue with
white letter P (sans-serif).
Željko Heimer, 03 Feb 2001
This flag is shown in both
[geo17] and
[wbs24].
Phil Nelson, 03 Jan 2000
Argentine Navy aircrafts use a white cockade
fimbriated with a thin blue-white-blue cirular
band. In the white cockade, an inscribed black
anchor with a golden sun
and a horizontal pike bearing a Phrygian cap.

Ivan Sache, 25 Jun 1997
Album 2000 [pay00] says:
15. Navy Aircraft Marking.Light blue anchor.
Both Fuerza Aérea
Argentina and
Comando de Aviación Naval Argentina
uses a square variant of the national flag as
fin flash while the sun
is replaced by a prominent yellow/gold dot.
