The municipality of Três Pontas (54,149 inhabitants in 2009; 689 sq. km),
located in South Minas Gerais, 280 km of Belo Horizonte, is known as "The
World's Coffee Capital". Coffee covers 24,000 ha in the municipality.
Quoting the Municipal Law, adopted on 14 October 1990:
"Article 9. The
symbols of the municipality shall be:
a) the flag;
b) the coat of arms;
[...]
§2. The municipal coat of arms is made of the Three-Pointed Mountain
("Serra de Três Pontas"), of the small train ("Trenzinho"), of a rising sun,
of branches of coffee and cane, and of the foundation year of the
municipality (1841), using the green, yellow, red, black and maroon colours."
The arms indeed show a landscape made of a black train running on green
pastures, in the background the three-pointed mountain and the rising sun,
the sky yellow-orange. The landscape forms a disk flanked by a branch of
coffee (left) and a branch of cane (right). The flag is shown on a photo
taken during a local festival; it appears to be of the same size as the Minas
Gerais flag, and, most probably, with a white background.

Based on a photo showing the real flag, the source image at
http://www.trespontas.mg.gov.br/mat_vis.aspx?cd=6542 must be a close-up of
the flag, which should be in the same proportion as the flag of Minas Gerais
(and as the national flag), 7:10.
