The municipality of Pedro Gomes (8,307 inhabitants; 3,651 sq. km) is located in the north of Mato Grosso de Sul, 285 km of Campo Grande. The municipality is locally believed to have been named after a landlord called Pedro Gomes, but there is no historical evidence of him.

The flag of Pedro Gomes is horizontally divided blue-yellow-red-yellow-blue (4:1:3:1:4), with a yellow triangle charged with the municipal coat of arms placed along the hoist. The flag, designed in 1977, uses the colors traditionally assigned to the Gomes family.

The flag is seen, used indoors, on photos taken on 28 May 2010 during the visit by Representative Biffi: http://www.prefeiturapedrogomes.com.br/index.php?pagina=prefeitura-prefeita - Gallery "Deputado Biffi vem a Pedro Gomes", last photo of the slide show.
The flag is seen, used outdoors, on photos taken on 11 November 2009 during the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the municipal foundation: http://www.prefeiturapedrogomes.com.br/index.php?pagina=banco_imagens&busca_editoria=1 - Gallery "46 anos de Pedro Gomes- Parte 1", photos near the end of the slide show.
