The flag of the City of Bathurst, New Brunswick, consists of a white
triangle on the hoist, and yellow over blue fields on the rest of the flag (Czech-like
design). On the white field is positioned the city coat of arms.
Here
is description of the coat of arms:
- The top
panel identifies the bilingual character of the city and the fact that
the city is located in the Province of New Brunswick.
- The
centred maple leaf denotes that the city is Canadian.
- The upper
triangular panel, the left triangular panel, the right triangular panel
and the lower triangular panel in order represent the principal industries
in and around the City; namely mining, lumbering, farming and fishing.
- The wavy lines and yellow bottom in the lower triangular panel
indicate that the City is located in a coastal area.
- The
figure 1966 in the bottom banner denotes the incorporation year of the City.

"Bathurst (2006 population 13,424) is a Canadian city in Gloucester County,
New Brunswick. Bathurst is situated on Bathurst Harbour, an estuary at the
mouth of the Nepisiguit River at the southernmost part of Chaleur Bay.
