The flag is (was) yellow with the Zürich Zoo logo in black. This shows a
chimp perched in a large ring, stylized to geometrically simple monochrome.
I have a branded sugar pack with the chimp I kept from my 1996 visit but I kept
no photographic evidence of the flag itself. At
http://www.zoo.ch/default.cfm?domainID=1&language=en&treeID=734 (or
http://www.zoo.ch/tgz) the official site
shows a similar logo with a toucan (http://www.zoo.ch/pictures/logo_tgz.gif),
this being the logo of TGZ - Tiergarten-Gesellschaft Zürich, the Zurich
Zoological Garden Society, a sponsoring entity.
At
http://www.zoo.ch/xml_1/internet/en/intro.cfm, the official Zurich Zoo
website, this chimp logo is nowhere to be found in evidence. Instead the "ZOOh!
Zürich" lettering mark seems to be used as a logo/emblem — see e.g.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Z%C3%BCrich.svg.
