Gaviota

We were in Cuba, for our annual week away from winter and just to maintain the tradition, here are the flags flying outside of the Melia Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba. The third flag is for Gaviota (the direct translation is "seagull"), my understanding is that they are the main "owners" of most Cuban hotel properties and most of Cuban tourism. In Cuba the hotels are only managed by foreign chains, all properties are owned by the Cuban government, which (as I understand it) were once or may still be, under the control of the Cuban Air Force. Most of the coaches carrying tourists are labeled Gaviota (for tours) or TransGaviota (for transferring tourists to and from the airport, etc.). Here is a website which shows the full logo. http://www.gaviota-grupo.com/en

The other flags were national flags of South American and European countries.
