Zákupy Town (District Ceská Lípa) was called in German "Reichstadt", although it was no Imperial  Free City at all (in this case Reich means "rich). Local State owned Chateau was build in the Year 1518 instead burned-out fort by Zdislav Berka (of Dubá - his arms is the escutcheon in Town Arms). Julius Francis Duke von Sachsen - Lauenburg let in Year 1683 the chateau rebuild to Baroque style...In Year 1818 was the Chateau made center of "Dukedom Reichstadt",  which was asigned for Napoleon's Son known as "Aiglon" (Napoleon Francois Charles Josef, King of Rome, Imperial Imperial, duke of Reichstadt - for his Arms see this webpage). After Year 1848 was the  Chateau Sommer Residence of Ex-Emperor Ferdinand I., for him was also reconstructed and decorated with paintings of  J. Navrátil, .etc.
7th  - 9th of  July 1900 there was a secret wedding in Chateau Chapel. Austrian Crown Prince.Archiduke Franz Ferdinand d'Este married  (a Czech) Countess Sofia Chotek von Wognjn (Žofie Chotková z Wognjna, in modern Czech " z Vojnína")...
