Also known as Cochlearia Armoracia and Armoracia lapthifolia.
Biochemists are fond of the horse-radish, from which they extract a peroxidase
(enzyme) very useful for one of their tricks (staining something, I guess).
The "horse-radish peroxidase" adds some onces of poetry and
spices to tasteless biochemistry articles.
