The ratio is approx. 5:3. It is a white - red vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Description of coat of arms:
The silver (= white) shield is divided by a red saltire. In the centre of the red chief is a golden (= yellow) plough share flanked by two silver (= white) wheel spiders, i.e. a cross in a wheel similar to a wheel with four spokes (German: Radkreuz).
Meaning:
The chief and the saltire together are denominated in German as Hauptschragen, which is taken from the arms of the knights of the Hademstorf family, the former rulers for more than 400 years. The plough share is symbolizing agriculture. Finally the wheel spiders are symbolizing can be found within the carvings on the facades of local farmhouses. They are symbolizing the united ecclesiastical and mundane powers. Also before they had been salutary signs for the fulfillment of wishes and the defence against evil powers among the Germanic tribes.
