The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a blue over red horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
In a golden (=yellow) field is a red stag, jumping across a blue horn with golden (= yellow) metal fittings.
Meaning:
The arms are canting. Both elements are also symbolizing forestal riches and hunting.The colours of the sheet are those of /Oldenburg/.

The coat of arms was approved by Lower Saxonian minister of interior in 1950. A plain flag having the same colours was reported in 1972 by [sta70].
