Description of banner:
It is a red - white vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Sipplingen Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (= white) shield is a red, rampant lion. Upon his breast is a right hand, placed sinister bendy, in natural colour. He is cutting bunches of grapes with a blue vinegrower's knife, while his other hand is clasping the pole of a vine plant in natural colours with three bunches of grapes.
Meaning:
The arms display the red lion of the Habsburg kin, connected with the symbols of viticulture. The hand is considered as a symbol of the loyalty to Habsburg of the inhabitants.

The banner and was approved on 7 December 1957 by minister of interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 109/1958. The coat of was granted by Archduke Ferdinand of Austria on 14 December 1582.
