It is a red - yellow vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The golden (= yellow) dexter half is divided by a red bend. The red sinister half displays above a golden (= yellow) bunch of grapes and below a silver (= white) grape cutter, which looks like a sickle.
Meaning:
There exist municipal seals from the early 15th century displaying the bunch and the cutter. Since 1480 the seal also display the bend of the Margraves of Baden, rulers since 1414. The same pattern was used in the 18th century on cornerstones. The tinctures were fixed in 1965.
