Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per bend into silver(=white) and green. In the green field is a silver(=white) uprising horse beneath a silver(=white) wavy line, in the silver(=white) field is a green tree.
Meaning:
According to Veddeler 2003, p.146 both parts are canting and symbolizing the both settlements, which had been untied in 1970. The horse and the wavy line are symbolizing Herzebrock, which means "horse brook" or "horse meadow". The tree is symbolizing the dissolved municipality of Clarholz. Its name is derived from "Kleoholt", which means "hague upon loamy ground".

Flag, banner and coat of arms were approved by Regierungspräsident Detmold on 3 September 1970. The municipality Herzebrock was renamed into Herzebrock-Clarholz later in 1985.
