Description of coat of arms:
The golden (=yellow) shield is divided by a blue sinister-bendy, wavy line. A black church window in Gothic style is upon the dexter chief point, a black mill wheel with a leaf and fruit of hops upon the sinister base point.
Meaning:
The window is symbolizing the monastery of Rüühn, which was maintained by Benedictian nuns, who left Rühn after Mecklenburg became a Protestant state. Wheel and hops are symbolizing cultivation of grain and brewery, the main business lines of the inhabitants. The blue sinister-bend is symbolizing River Warnow.
