Heringsdorf is a municipality and a seaside resort town in Mecklenburg-Westpomerania, Germany. The municipality was formed in January 2005 out of the former municipalities of Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin. From 1 January 2005 until 1 January 2006, the municipality was called Dreikaiserbäder (English: Three Imperial Spas) . From 1 January 2006 until 1 February 2007 she was renamed into Seebad Heringsdorf and then gained the tittle of a spa and was since then named Ostseebad heringsdorf. She is located on the north coast of the island of Usedom, about 10 km by rail northwest of Swinoujscie/ Poland.
Heringsdorf has been one of the most popular resorts on the German Baltic shore since its foundation. It consists of three parts: Ahlbeck on the Polish border, Heringsdorf proper (central part) and Bansin in the west. These three municipalities had been the favourite spas of the German Emperors, and had been well known as "bathtub of Berlin". It has scenic houses and mansions in the style of "Bäderarchitektur"

The flag's ratio is 3:5. The flag is striped vertically, blue-white-blue (1:2:1) with the new coat of arms of Heringsdorf.

Description of coat of arms:
The new coat of arms of Heringsdorf is a blue shield with three silver waves. Above these waves a golden coronet is located.
Meaning:
The waves symbolize the three former municipalities Albeck, Bansin and Heringsdorf. The coronet is symbol of the name of "Dreikaiserbäder".

The former flag was approved by minister of interior of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania on 2 March 1998, published in the roll of arms of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania as no. 0054. The former coat of arms was in use since 1905.

The flag (not the banner) was approved by minister of interior of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania on 22 December 1997, published in the roll of arms of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania as no. 0114, the coat of arms was approved by Prussian minister of state on 9 November 1929. The symbols became invalid on 1 January 2005.
