Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a red over white over red horizontal triband with ratio 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the centre of the white stripe.

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (=white) shield is a red, rampant griffin armed golden (= yellow). The shield is topped by a blue helmet crowned golden (= yellow) and crested by a golden (= yellow) capital "W", accompanied by silver (= white) and red scarves.
The griffin is taken from the coat of arms of Hitherpomerania.

The flag was introduced by the local council in Hauptsatzung of the city of Ueckermünde, version 1994.
