Description of coat of arms:
The golden (= yellow) shield has a green base wavy and a green fir tree issuant. In the upper sinister corner is a black buzzard's head armed red.
Meaning:
On 1 January 1973 the municipalities of Lautenbach, Matzenbach, Unterdeufstetten and Wildenstein merged, published in GABl 96/1973. The local council decided to adopt a coat of arms displaying a fir tree (German: Fichte) as a canting element. The buzzard is alluding to the existence of numerous birds of prey in the area while the base wavy is alluding to local meadows, ponds and little lakes.
