Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale into gold (= yellow) and blue. The dexter side displays an oar and a hitcher crossed per saltire. They are superimposed by a chalice. All charges are black. The sinister side displays a rising, silver (= white) duck armed golden (= yellow).
Meaning:
Chalice, oar and hitcher are taken from the arms of the former municipality of Karlsdorf. The duck is taken from the arms of the former municipality of Neuthard. Both municipalities merged on 1 January 1975. The merger was published in GABl 801/1974.
