Municipality of Leopoldshöhe

Description:
The ratio of the flag is 3:5. It is a yellow flag with red horizontal stripes at the upper and lower edge. The ratio of stripes is estimated 2:7:2. The coat of arms is superimposed and slightly shifted to the hoist.
Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per bend by a wavy white line with some small black wavy lines in it. The lower part is green with a white sugar-beet. The upper part is red with a yellow gear with 4 spokes and 8 teeth.
The wavy line probably symbolizes the Aa, a creek. The green colour and the sugar-beet stand for agriculture, the red colour and the gear for industry. The red and yellow stripes mark that the municipality belonged to the Principality of Lippe.

Banner

[Leopoldshöhe banner] image by Klaus-Michael Schneider, 24 Nov 2007

Description of banner:
It is a yellow banner with red edges on both sides. The ratio between the stripes is 1:2:1. The coat of arms is fully in the yellow stripe shifted to the hoist.
Note: According to source the flag was authorized the same day with same ratio between stripes and coat of arms fully within the yellow stripe.
There is used however a flag with ratio estimated 2:7:2 with the coat of arms superimposing a little bit of both red stripes, as I have contributed on 10 March 2007
