Haar Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver shield are two green trees on a basement of the same colour. Between the trees is an impending golden (= yellow) axe shafted black.
Meaning:
The trees are canting elements. The name of the municipality denotes a clear forest. The axe is symbolizing that the first settlement was made by forest clearances in the Middle Ages.

Banner and coat of arms were approved by Bavarian ministry of interior, the banner on 18 November 1952 and the coat of arms on 12 January 1951.
