Description of coat of arms:
The silver (= white) shield is divided by a blue fess wavy. Above is a branch of oak with two green leaves and one golden (= yellow) acorn. Beneath is a black stomp of a tree.
Meaning:
The colours blue and silver are those of Bavaria. The fess wavy here is representing the suffix "-brunn", which means fountain, well or riches of water. The stomp is alluding to the fact that the settlement was established by forest clearances in the southeast of München in the Middle Ages. The branch of oak is alluding to the protected area of oak forests around Hohenbrunn.

The banner was approved on 19 August 1980 probably by district government of Oberbayern. The coat of arms was approved on 14 December 1953 by Bavarian ministry of interior.
