The arms have been adopted on 4 March 1980 and show: Per fess: Argent two clubs (literally translated as morning stars crossed saltirishly Gules; and Azure, a boring head Or. The flag has been adopted probably at the same time; it has the colours red-yellow and shall bear the arms. Ampfing is the only municipality in Bavaria I encountered where the flag is hoisted continuously (all others just hoist it for holidays and local festivities). They have several flagstaffs at the major road that passes Ampfing, where you can see the municipal flag and the Bavarian flag.
