The arms were adopted on 24 February 1984 and show: Per fess Sable and Or a lion rampant counterchanged crowned tongued and armed Gules on a base wavy Gules a bend sinister Azure. The flag has been adopted probably at the same time; it has the colours blue-yellow-blue and shall bear the arms. Source: Wanka 1989 [wnk89].
