Here is the flag of the city of Grevesmühlen . Grevesmühlen was the administration seat of Nordwestmecklenburg County until 3 September 2011. We don't know when the flag was adopted, but the Coat-of-Arms was adopted in October 1897, then revised in 1996.

The ratio is 3:5. It is a blue over yellow over red horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag. The variant has a bull turning his head slightly to the fly.

According to Stefan Schwoon this flag was introduced shortly after German reunion in 1990 by the city council stressing the old relationships to the former state of Mecklenburg. As there had been no entry in the roll of arms of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania, this variant had to be considered as "inofficial" (deadline: 7 April 2004)
