Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The dexter side is divided per fess, above showing a silver (= white) goat's head in a red field, below showing two black spades crossed saltirishly in a golden (= yellow) field. The sinister side shows a silver (= white) tower of a church with blue port and windows.
Meaning:
According to source the goat's head is canting. The spades are symbolizing the cutback of peat in the area. The church is a local building erected in 1827 sponsored by Grand-Duke Friedrich-Franz I.
