The shield is divided per fess wavy into silver (= white) over blue. Above is a black tree having ten oversized, green leaves. Below is a wreath of twelve golden (= yellow) 5-point stars.
Meaning:
The stem is symbolizing the subcounty, the leaves are symbolizing its municipalities: Grande, Grönwohld, Großensee, Hamfelde, Hohenfelde, Köthel, Lütjensee, Rausdorf, Trittau and Witzhave. The subcounty is congruent with the former parish and nearly congruent with the historical district (Amt) of Trittau and thus symbolizing continuity. The wreath means that the subcounty is devoted to the European spirit. The blue colour is symbolizing the numerous little lakes in the subcounty.

Description of coat of arms:
The silver (= white) shield is divided by a blue fess wavy. Above is a big, red, half-timbered house. Below are three green trees ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The trees are symbolizing the nature and the name of the municipality. The meaning is "green wood". The house is an image of a local wire manufactory from the 16th century, the so called Grönwohlder Drahtmühle, which is Grönwohld's landmark. The fess wavy is symbolizing the millbrook.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess wavy into silver (= white) over blue. Above is a green green, rooted oak seedling with branches shaped like a cross. Below are three silver (= white) carps ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The blue colour, the carps and the wavy line are symbolizing Großensee, the lake and name giver of the municipality. The seedling is symbolizing the beautiful landscape, the vital power of the inhabitants and finally their Christian charity.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided by a bend sinister wavy, which is parted into gold (= yellow) over blue. Above right is a silver (= white) stag statant in a green field. Below left is a green, rooted beech in a golden (= yellow) field.
Meaning:
Since 1227 the municipality was split up, one part belonged to Lauenburg, the other to Stormarn. The Bille River, symbolized by the blue bend wavy, was the border. The stag is symbolizing forestry. The beech is symbolizing the groves of Hahnheide.

Meaning:
The wreath of stars is symbolizing the devotion to the European spirit. Hohenfelde was the first municipality in Schleswig-Holstein having partnerships with municipalities abroad and was member of the Council of Municipalities in Europe. The bend wavy is symbolizing the Bille River. The sheaf is symbolizing agriculture.

Köthel Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The silver (= white) shield is divided by a blue bend wavy. Above right is a green beech. Below left is a red Gothic chapel.
Meaning:
After 1238 Köthel was the base of the nuns' monastery of Reinbek for some twenty years. The chapel had been the rest of the monastery, after the monastery had been transferred to Hirschfeld. In the chapel services were celebrated up to the 17th century. Afterwards the chapel disappeared. The fess wavy is symbolizing the Bille River, the beech is symbolizing the Groves of Hahnheide.

Lütjensee Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided by a silver (= white) fess wavy into blue over red. Above is a golden (= yellow) bell. On the sinister chiefpoint is an inescutcheon of the same colour bearing a blue blossom with five petals. Below are two silver (= white) wheels with eight spokes.
Meaning:
Lütjensee was first mentioned in 1248.. The bell is representing the church, which had been established by the provost of Hamburg Erich. The inescutcheon shows the family arms of Tymmo of Hamme, the former owner. Afterwards the village belonged to the chapter of Hamburg and later on to the dukes of Holstein. The wheels are alluding to the historical road between Hamburg and Lübeck. The colours are those of Schleswig-Holstein.

Meaning:
The farmhouse is symbolizing the rural character. The depression is symbolizing the geological situation of the municipality. The blue part of fess and depressing is symbolizing the Corbek, a local creek.

The ratio is 3:5. It is a white flag with narrow green stripes on top- and bottom-edge. In the middle of the white stripe is a red, baroque half-timbered house.
Meaning:
The house depicted is the dwelling house of Trittau's watermill, which had been in function from 1700 until 1973. The green stripes are symbolizing the attractive landscape, especially Hahnheide forest.

Witzhave Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In the centre of the green shield is a silver (= white) farmhouse. On each chiefpoint is a golden (= yellow) branch of oak with three leaves and two acorns. Below is a brooch of the same colour.
Meaning:
The farmhouse is symbolizing the rural character of the municipality. The branches are alluding to the nearby forest of Sachsenwald. The brooch was found in one of the numerous tumuli of Witzhave.
