Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided by a silver (= white) fess wavy into blue over red. Below are four golden (= yellow) beech leaves slightly superimposing one another. Above are four silver (= white) ears of grain, growing up from the leaves. The stalks are in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
The subcounty consists of the municipalities of the former subcounties of Wankendorf and Bokhorst. The ears are representing the municipalities of Wankendorf Subcounty (Belau, Ruhwinkel, Stolpe und Wankendorf), the leaves those of Bokhorst Subcounty (Großharrie, Rendswühren, Schillsdorf und Tasdorf). The fess wavy is symbolizing riches of water.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess into silver (= white) over green. Above is a green gable. Below is a silver (= white) fleur de lis.
Meaning:
Rendswühren was first mentioned in 1280 (Source: Kieler Stadtbuch). It was owned by the Pogwisch family (until 1462), the monastery of Bordesholm (until 1535) and was then bought by Johann Rantzau; afterwards to Bothkamp district (until 1928) and Bordesholm County (until 1932): since then to Plön County. Rendswühren consists oft he settlement cores of Schipphorst, Schipphorster Feld, Altenrade, Neuenrade, Griesenbötel, Rendswühren proper and Rendswührener Feld. The gable of Kortum House in Schipphorster Feld is the antetype of the gable on flag. The fleur de lis is alluding to the affiliation with the monastery in Bordesholm and afterwards with Bordesholm County. The fleur de lis can also be found in the arms of the municipality of Bordesholm.

The shield is divided by a green chevron into silver (= white) over gold (= yellow). The chevron is crowned by seven green linden leaves. Below is a red, sinister facing horn.
Meaning:
The elements are symbolizing the three settlement cores: The horn stands for Bockhorn; the chevron - having an angle (German: Winkel) - stands for Ruhwinkel proper; the leaves stand for Schönböken and its alleyway of linden trees.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided by a silver (= white) bend sinister into blue over red. Above right are two golden (= yellow) vessels of different size ordered per pale. Below is a silver (= white) nettle leaf.
Meaning:
The golden vesssels had been found in 1835 on the domains of Depenau Manor. They belong to the very first exhibits of the "Archaeological State Museum" in Schleswig. The bend is symbolizing the federal highway A21. The nettle leaf is alluding to the county of Schauenburg-Holstein, the former rulers.

The ratio is 3:5. The flag is quarterly divided into white (upper hoist and lower fly) and red (lower hoist and upper fly). The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is quarterly divided. The 1st quarter shows three silver (= white) ears of grain in a blue field. The 2nd quarter shows a red bend sinister embattled counterembattled in a silver (= white) field. The 3rd quarter shows a red bend sinister in a silver (= white) field. The 4th quarter shows a silver (= white) branch of oak with three leaves in a blue field.
Meaning:
The grain is symbolizing agriculture, the branch forest clearance in the medieval. The bends are symbolizing a railway track and a federal road.
