Description of banner:
It is a green - yellow vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Igersheim Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. The upper half is divided per pale. Above right the silver (= white) field is divided by a black, centred cross. Above left the field is divided per fess into silver (= white) over red. Above are two blue pieces of vair. The lower half shows a green triple mount at the base of a golden (= yellow) field. Above the mountain are black, impending initials "I" and "G".
Meaning:
he upper half shows elements from the arms of Walther von Cronberg, Germanmaster of the Teutonic Order. The dexter side displays the cross of the Order while the sinister side displays elements taken from von Cronberg's family arms. The lower half of the shield displays distinguishing marks, especially the first two letters of the municipality's name.

he coat of arms was granted in 1537 by Walther von Cronberg. The banner was approved on 5 April 1967 by minister of interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 350/1967.
