Description of flag:
It is a 10-stripes flag divided by alternating blue and yellow horizontal stripes starting with a blue one. The flag has a yellow bordure at the top edge and a yellow canton edged blue. In the canton is a black rampant lion armed and tongued red. The lion and the colours of the stripes are taken from the coat of arms of the city of Leipzig.

It is a 10-stripes flag divided by alternating dark blue and white horizontal stripes starting with a blue one. The dark blue canton contains a yellow parallelogram with a blue "W".

'Wiking' was dissolved after WWII by East German authorities and re-established by its members as a traditional club in Minden (West Germany) hosted by Mindener RV. After German reunion the club went back to Leipzig and became part of SC DHfK. DHfK is the "Deutsche Hochschule für Körperkultur", the womb of many olympic champions.

On 6 April the clubs 'Germania' and Leipziger RV von 1876 merged, forming the RV Wiking. On 6 February 1927 the ARV Leipzig seceded from RV Wiking.

It was a yellow over blue over yellow horizontal bicolour with a white inscription "LRV" in the blue stripe. Yellow and blue are the colours of the city of Leipzig.
