Kolding is on the east side of Jylland. I haven't seen any Danish municipality flag before, so I was really surprised to see 4 flags (unfortunately of the same town), when I visited Kolding in July 2007. There was one pair in front of the fire brigade station and another one in front of the town hall. At the town hall's entrance I could take a picture of the city's coat of arms. Seemed to me really modern.
The city uses a banner version (town hall).

It is a plain white flag with the city's coat of arms in the centre.

In a red shield are white figures. On the dexter side is an eagle with
spread wings facing the other side where a flower is depicted. The
eagle stands upon a stone above from three waves.
