The Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Sur, S.A. (EDESUR, Southern Electricity Distribution Company) is a nationalized electricity provider in the Dominican Republic. Created in December 1999 by Presidential Decree No. 464-99, EDESUR's service area stretches from "the west side of Avenida Máximo Gómez in the National District to the Elías Piña provincial boundary."
The EDESUR flag can be seen in the background of a photograph online. The flag consists of the company logo and motto centered on a white field. The logo incorporates the company acronym in lowercase letters, "ede" in dark blue and "sur" in gold, along with a gold registered trademark symbol (®). Above the gold letters are two concentric gold semi-circles, while a more complete name of the company (Edesur Dominicana, S.A.) in dark blue letters appears below the gold letters. Near the bottom of the flag is the company motto in italicized dark blue letters - ¡Únete y conéctate! (Join and connect!)
