Overview

The parish of San Pedro de Suma (5,799 inhabitants) is located in El Carmen canton (Manabí province), 15 km south-west of El Carmen.
San Pedro de Suma was settled in 1950 by Pedro Anguo, from Esmeraldas, followed by Sócrates Farias, from Cucuy (1953), José López, from Canuto (1955), Argentino Vélez, from Eloy Alfaro (1956), and Antonio Loor, from Tosagua (1960). The parish of San Pedro de Suma was established on 12 November 1999 (Official Register No. 317).

The Flag

The flag of San Pedro de Suma is horizontally divided green-yellow.  Along the hoist is placed a blue triangle charged with a white star.
