The flag of Cotogchoa is horizontally divided green-yellow. The green stripe
represents the natural environment, especially the original Andean forest that
thrives on the slopes of mount Pasochoa [an extinct volcano [4,200 m], the heart
of the Pasachoa Wildlife Refuge, established in 1996 within the National System
of Protected Areas). The yellow stripe represents the agricultural production.
