Overview

Adopted: 29 January 1998. Ratio: 5:8. Saare is a rural municipality (vald) in Jõgevamaa County (maakond).

Symbols refer to the Estonian epic hero Kalevipoeg. According to the legend lies the sword of  Kalevipoeg in the Kääpa river. From the soil and water of homeland comes the power of life which brings new life (branch of fir).
