Adopted: 29 August 1995. Ratio: 1:1. Tahkuranna (Uulu) is a rural municipality (vald) in Parnumaa County (maakond).

Gold refers to the coat of arms of Pärnumaa. Also this is color of sun and beaches and symbolizes vitality and happiness. Blue refers to the sea. Star symbolizes education, Millstone is the symbol from coat of arms of Konstantin Päts, first president of Estonia who was born in Tahkuranna.
