Coat of Arms

image by Jorge Candeias , 26 July 1999

Translated from <www.viimsivald.ee>:
"Coat of Arms - On a blue shield, from upper edge two downward reaching straight lines form a sharp V-shape. This shape rests on a wavy formation, all in silver. The base of the shield is of black color.
Reasoning - The colors of the Coat of Arms are derived from the national flag of Estonia.  Silvery wave form base depicts sea-waves that symbolize the connection of Viimsi with the sea. Silvery V-shape is meant to be the V in the name of the rural District of Viimsi and also hints to a connection with ships (or boats)."
The white color is supposed to be silver.
