Introduction

Inca is the 2nd largest city by number of inhabitants and lies right in the centre of the island. It is famous for its leather manufactures and shops.

Description

Inca's flag is a Senyera, the flag of Catalunya, with four red horizontal stripes in a yellow field, here in ratio of 2:3 and with the local coat of arms in a white square placed onto its centre. The coat of arms is a Catalan shield, four red pallets in a golden yellow field, shaped like a diamond and with a dark blue bordure. In the middle a light blue fess, fimbriated silver/white, is charged with a white animal (either an ermine or a greyhound?) I observed this flag on 2 June 2009 at the town hall.
