Every 2nd weekend in May a festa is celebrated in Sóller, in memory of an unsucessful assault by Turkish pirates commanded by Ulutx Ali which took place on 11 May 1561. It is a pennant quarterly divided into white and light blue. In the centre is a white roundel showing the figures of the coat of arms of Sóller in black (two rampant lions supporting a sun), surrounded by the black inscription “C.N. Soller”. In the white upper hoist is a black upright anchor. I observed this flag in the harbour of Port d'Soller on 23 May 2009.
