Symbols of Ledrada

The flag and arms (presentation) of Ledrada are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 4 September 1992 by the Salamanca Provincial Government, signed on 21 December 1992 by the President of the Government, and published on 21 January 1993 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 13 (text, text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: With the colors of the coat of arms covering each one half of the panel, green at hoist argent at fly, both divided by a perpendicular line. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Or two granite stones proper surrounded by an ivy [hiedra] proper, 2. Argent a bend sable a chain or in orle. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.

The granite stones symbolize the natural environment of the village but also the force and courage of the villagers. The ivy is a symbol of affection and solidarity via the devotion to the Virgin. The sinister part of the arms represents the arms of the Dukes of Béjar, owners of the village until the suppression of the feudal system in 1811.
