Presentation of Anaya

The municipality of Anaya (162 inhabitants in 2010; 1,519 ha) is located in the southwest of Segovia Province, 20 km from Segovia.

Symbols of Anaya

The flag and arms of Anaya are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 11 June 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 15 August 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 28 August 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 167, p. 12,781 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, half divided in bottom [partida por mitad en bajo]. Or (yellow) and vert (green) with, all over, the municipal coat of arms of Anaya.
Coat of arms: Quarterly, 1. Gules a three-arched bridge gules, 2. Azure a ploughed field proper ensigned with a hoe argent, 3. Azure a bell argent, 4. Or an ash tree vert eradicated. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
