Horizontally striped red-white. Centred on the top stripe, a [three-towered] white castle with red gate and windows, with a white Maltese cross over the central tower and a white eye on top of each of the side towers, the whole as high as 7/18 of the flag's height.

A horizontally divided red over white flag. On the top stripe, a white castle, above it two white eyes and above these a white Maltese cross. The top stripe is thus a banner of the city arms.
