The flag and coat of arms of Alhama de Aragón are shown on a website dedicated to the municipal symbols in Aragón (to be presented separately as a main source of information). On 23 April 2008 (Aragón national day), the flag and coat of arms of Alhama de Aragon were inaugurated, as reported by "Terra Actualidad - VMT." This seems to indicate that the adopted symbols had not been unveiled yet, since the flag is described as in the Decree. The main symbolic element used on the flag and coat of arms is water, recalling its importance for the local economy as rivers, sources and hot springs. The coat of arms was first designed after 1916, but the modern coat of arms differs from it in some elements: field gules, shape and position of the fish, shape of the Royal crown.
