The municipality of Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa (1,205 inhabitants in 2009; 3,903 ha) is located in the northeast of Zamora Province, 60 km from Zamora.

Symbols of Santa Cristina de la Polovorosa

The flag and arms of Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 20 August 2002 by the Municipal Council, signed on 31 October 2002 by the Mayor, and published on 14 November 2002 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 221, pp. 15,095-15,096 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of two triangles formed by the diagonal running from the lower hoist to the upper fly, at hoist yellow with a green tree eradicated surmonted by a hoopoe (cuckoo) proper, at fly blue with three white waves.
Coat of arms: Per bend sinister, 1. Or a tree eradicated vert ensigned by a hoopoe (cuckoo) proper, 2. Gules a church tower argent dexter a Roman mosaic. In base azure a five-arched bridge or over waves azure and argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
