Presentation of Ristolas

The municipality of Ristolas (71 inhabitants in 2012; 8,218 ha) is the last village in the upper valley of the Guil, located a few kilometers upstream from Abriès. In 2001, a new species of bat discovered near Ristolas was called Plecotus alpinus (Alpine long-eared bat, oreillard alpin).

Flag of Ristolas

The flag of Ristolas is white with the municipal coat of arms and "RISTOLAS en QUEYRAS" written horizontally below the coat of arms.
The coat of arms of Ristolas is yellow with a black bear wearing a red necklace. The shield is surmonted by a mural crown.
