Finalists in competition to design a county flag for North Riding
These six finalists have been revealed in the contest to design a county flag for the North Riding of Yorkshire.

The competition to produce a flag for the North Riding – the area which takes in Mickle Fell, the highest point in Yorkshire, in the north-west of the county, across to Middlesbrough, down to Filey Brigg and over to York – was launched last January. The six shortlisted designs were selected from numerous entries by a panel of judges, for everyone to vote for their favourite.

Voting closes on April 2.
