The Harlequins, usually known as Quins, are an English rugby union team, playing in the top division. The club is based in Twickenham Stoop, the next door neighbour just across the street of the Twickenham Stadium, where the games of the RFU take place. Their greatest successes were winning the Aviva Premiership in 2012 and the LV= Cup in 2013.

The club was established in 1866 as Hampstead Football Club and renamed into Harlequin Rugby Football Club in 1870, when the members present in the general assembly chose the name per incident out of a dictionary. As absent members considered the new name being ridiculous, those established the Wasps, today based in High Wycombe.

The flag, like their jerseys, is quartered into sky blue (upper hoist), dark magenta (upper fly), chocolate (lower hoist) and silver, i.e. grey (lower fly). Above all is a masked harlequin. His dress shows the colours of the flag plus the colours of the jerseys’ sleeves green and black.
