Presentation of Lentekhi

The municipality of Lentekhi (8,991 inhabitants in 2002, 1,800 in the town proper; 1,344 sq. km) is located in western Georgia, 300 km of Tbilisi.
Lentekhi is the birth town of Tengiz Sigua (b. 1934), Prime Minister of Georgia in November 1990 - August 1991 and January 1992 - August 1993.

Flag of Lentekhi

The flag and arms of Lentekhi are prescribed by Decree No. 36, adopted on 22 July 2011 by the Municipal Council.

The flag is vertically divided blue-green with three yellow four-pointed stars (1 + 2) in canton.
The flag is derived from the upper part of the municipal arms, "Per fess serrated, 1a. Azure three four-pointed stars or, 1b. Vert a throne or ensigned with a Svanetian hat argent, 2. Argent a bear sable armed and langued gules. The shield surmounted by a three-towered mural crown argent fimbriated sable. Under the shield a scroll argent fimbriated sable charged with the name of the town in Georgian capital letters sable."
