Presentation of Elefsina

The municipality of Elefsina (29,902 inhabitants in 2011, 3,706 ha) was established in the 2011 local government reform as the merger of the former municipalities of Elefsina (24,901 inh.) and Magoula (Μαγούλα, 4,992 inh.).

The flag of Magoula (Kokkonis website) was white with a blue inner border and a white outer border, and in the center the emblem of the municipality, showing a picture of the Agios Dimitrios Orthodox church in Magoula.
